Volleyball means to me:

A way to express myself, compete, and play with the people around me! To be taught valuable lessons about the world and myself, gaining experiences and meeting all kinds of people.

How did you start playing volleyball?

I went to a summer camp with my friend at the high school I would later attend, and loved the team aspect! I remember it being such a fun and exciting sport I have never seen before. Funny though, after the first day of passing I had bruises all over my arms it hurt so bad 😭

At what age did you start playing volleyball?

11 years old

Bethany Hamilton

The best match you have played so far?

When I got injured and tore my ACL during the second point in a match in 2023.

The worst match you have played so far?

Last season, I was named player of the week totaling 31 kills, 7 blocks and 3 aces in the PVF (U.S. league).

I would dedicate an important victory to:

God; I try to glorify Him in all that I do and thank Him for being able to play the sport I love!

Dream in the drawer?

To live a purposeful and fulfilling life.

Do you have any superstitious rituals?

Not really, I just like to have a routine that works for me. I like to listen to music, nap, mentally visualize before a game.

If you weren’t playing your role, which one would you like to play?

Setter

If you didn’t play volleyball, which sport would you do?

I would like to try surfing, but I am also scared of sharks.

Best trip so far?

Family vacation to Hawaii, it was so fun swimming with sea turtles!
